Biometric Consent Notice

Last updated: 7/20/2026

The ingestion of a photograph to extract facial vectors constitutes the processing of sensitive biometric data. Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDPA), consent for this action must be free, specific, informed, unconditional, and unambiguous. This standalone notice explicitly outlines how we process your biometric data when you use our facial recognition service.

1. Explicit Declaration of Collection and Algorithmic Use

"By providing explicit consent, you authorize Ayojan to utilize automated facial recognition technology to extract unique physiological characteristics from your uploaded selfie. These mathematical vectors are compared directly against the event photographs hosted on our platform by the event organizer. The sole purpose of this processing is to accurately identify, locate, and present your personal images from the event."

2. Absolute Prohibition on Secondary Utilization

"Ayojan fundamentally respects your biometric privacy. Your selfie and the resulting facial vectors are utilized exclusively for the retrieval of your specific event photographs. Ayojan does not sell, rent, or transfer your biometric data to external data brokers. Furthermore, Ayojan explicitly guarantees that your personal biometric data will not be utilized to train, refine, or optimize external foundational artificial intelligence models or computer vision systems without your separate, explicit, and granular authorization."

3. Doctrine of Ephemeral Biometric Storage

"Your biometric security is paramount. The selfie you provide and its associated biometric template are stored securely using industry-standard encryption strictly for the ephemeral duration necessary to execute the automated photo search. Immediately following the completion of the algorithmic match and the delivery of your personalized gallery, your biometric data is systematically destroyed or irreversibly anonymized from our active servers. Ayojan does not maintain a persistent database of guest facial profiles."

4. Mechanisms for Revocation and Functional Consequences

"You reserve the fundamental right to withdraw your biometric consent at any time. However, you acknowledge that the withdrawal of this consent will immediately terminate Ayojan’s algorithmic ability to locate and deliver your personalized event photographs, as the facial recognition functionality relies entirely on the processing of your selfie."

To withdraw your consent and request immediate deletion of any associated biometric data, please contactprivacy@ayojan.in or use the in-platform data management tools where available.

5. Indemnification Regarding Third-Party Subject Photography

Event photography inherently captures multiple individuals within a single frame. When you download a photograph, you may also be downloading the likeness of secondary attendees who have not consented to external distribution.

"The photographs identified and delivered via your selfie are strictly intended for your personal, private use. Should you intend to publish, distribute, or share any image externally—including on public social media platforms—you bear the sole legal responsibility for ensuring you possess prior consent from every recognizable individual appearing in that photograph. Unauthorized external sharing may violate the privacy rights of others, and Ayojan explicitly disclaims all liability arising from your distribution of multi-subject photographs."
